Curaçao - under water
You can snorkel and dive almost everywhere on Curaçao. Get yourself a free map of the island at your hotel and find a complete listing of snorkeling and diving places. Some locations will surprise you because of their proximity to major people water activity such as Mambo beach. We would advise you to get 5-6 water-resistant single-use cameras and bring them with you on the island - it will save you money and, most importantly, time of finding them on the island. We did not take time to identify fish species that can be seen below. We will update whenever possible.

Tugboat. The closer to the shore the shallower the water, even gentle wave can nudge you onto rough corals. Avoid this from happening because it is harmful to corals and you can be scratched or stung. |

Tugboat. We heard that one hurricane in 2008, which affected Curaçao, ruined most corals and destroyed beach around the tugboat snorkeling spot. Depending on species, corals can take from one to ten years to repair the damage. |
